After living with Tag for two years it became apparent that his rambunctious nature and relentless desire to play meant he had a higher purpose. "Tag was one of those dogs that stood out as being special," Mrs. Roteman said. "It was obvious that Tag just being a normal pet and going to the park to play ball was just wasting him."

Due to the recent terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center we decided to look into National Disaster Search Dog Foundation. Tag was accepted into the NDSDF training program, even though he was older than they typically take dogs. Tag loved his job and excelled through his training. Now he is working with the Capital Police in Washington DC. We are assured that Tag is happy and still gets to play ball with his new owner's children. Tag works every day with the Capital Police in Washington DC, he is so valued on Capitol Hill that he must stay on site and is not allowed to be deployed to other disasters so that he is always available for our Nation’s President and other government officials.
